Our Materials

Leather, A Natural Byproduct: Leather gives new life to an otherwise wasted resource—99% of the world’s leather comes from animals raised for food, preventing billions of pounds of hides from reaching landfills each year. Unlike plastic-based alternatives, leather naturally biodegrades over time.

Vegetable Tanned Leather: Not all leather is created equal. Many mass-produced options are chemically treated, layered in plastics, or bonded with glue. Our vegetable-tanned leather uses plant-based tannins, making it safer for the environment and allowing it to develop a rich patina over time. Sustainably Sourced Wood: We use solid Black Walnut from Ocooch Hardwoods, a small, family-owned business in Wisconsin. Sourcing domestically reduces our carbon footprint while ensuring quality and longevity.
